Talon's got a little jig in his pants

Here's a new video of Talon. Terry and I have been laughing to tears lately with Talon's new dance move. We can't help but share.

Later Note: A week or so after this video was taken, I finally realized where Talon got this little dance and what he is actually doing.

You see, Blue's Clues is Talon's favorite show, and there is a part in every show where Blue (Steve's blue dog) and Steve jump or "skidoo" into a picture book or some other object like they're going "on location". Before Steve "skidoos" or jumps into the object, he moves his body in a twisting motion with one foot on tiptoes, then he "jumps" into the object. So, I finally figured out that Talon is doing the "skidoo" when he shakes his little butt with one foot on tiptoes and then jumps! Go figure!

Since then, Talon has also moved on to pretending EVERYTHING about Blue's Clues. He would use a small baby book as his "Handy Dandy Notebook" and a toy screwdriver, water marker, or whatever else he could find to pretend to write his "clues" in his pretend notebook. He has also claimed our living chair as his "Thinking Chair" in which he sits to "think, think, think", with his hands cupped under his chin just like Steve. It's so fun to watch him walk around the house pretending to play Blue's Clues and mimicking the actions and mannerisms of Steve on the show. After a while, we even bought him a REAL Handy Dandy Notebook - Talk about joy in a little boy's eyes! Talon's world is all about Blue's Clues these days, and we can just see the wheels cranking in his little brain when we watch him play.
